You've probably seen the Kia car commercial where the kid's toys are larger than life and living it up out there in the real world.
That Sock Monkey guy is one wild character. Getting a "Mom" embroidery tattoo, Xtreme jet skiing, and mechanical bull riding, and even stunt driving... His friends - Robot, Teddy Bear, Big Red Bumpy Cyclops, and Shaggy Brown Striped-Shirt Thing - must have their hands full trying to keep him in line. And judging from the club scene, it looks like the ladies still love the bad boy, even when he is made from 96% cotton.

Wonderful, new subject matter for my nightmares. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMarvin - I try. :)
ReplyDeleteFortunately, they did not include Mr. Potato Head. That guy is creepy to the extreme. All those multiple personalities.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog. Great to see a fellow teacher with a sense of humor.
Cheeseboy - Not to mention all the removable and interchangable parts. :)
ReplyDeleteIf I were a kid these commercials would scare the cr** out of me. Come to think of it they're pretty frightening now. (Nice to meet you, I also live in MB :)
ReplyDeleteI always thought the Sock Puppet would drive a Jag.
ReplyDeleteI have NOT seen this commercial, and I was almost afraid to click because I am afraid of sock puppets. But this one was awesome! I loved the stumpy little yarn thing trying to make snow angels!
ReplyDeleteMargo - Other than the super-sizeness of the toys, I would have thought it was pretty cool. :)
ReplyDeleteWendi - That's not until he skates through med school and gets his degree. I'm pretty sure he's still in his early twenties right now and mom and dad would only spring for the Kia.
JD - I loved that part too. I'm not even sure what that thing is supposed to be, but it reminds me of a cross between Cousin It and The Hamburglar from McDonald's.
Love this commercial...Didn't like sock monkey's as a kid, but this guy is all tatted up and cool!
ReplyDeleteOkay, you're too quiet lately!
ReplyDeleteStill, it gives me the creeps to watch it! I'm afraid of Kia's now!
